Philip Holtrop 博士简历
  Dr.Philip Holtrop是美国哈佛大学博士,在哈佛期间的主修专业为史学、道德、和神学原理专业。
  1955年他从位于密歇根大溪流市的卡尔文大学本科毕业,获得了古典语言和文学的学士学位。
  1958年毕业于加尔文神学院. 专业为哲学、系统神学、宗教史。在获得富布莱特奖学金之后,曾在荷兰阿姆斯特丹自由大学进修,获得了宗教、道德和哲学双硕士。其后他曾在美国伊利诺州三一大学教授哲学课程。
  Dr.Philip Holtrop 有长期的教育和咨询经验。
  1977年开始,他在卡尔文大学教授哲学、史学以及文化神学直到1999年退休。

他是两本书籍的作者和多本书籍的翻译者(荷兰语译英);还创作了上百篇文章和教学大纲,并曾发表过多篇主要的学术报告,是论文的主要作者。
  他和他的夫人玛丽在中国江苏徐州(1992),广西南宁(1995)曾教过两个学季的英语。他们夫妻从19992006年开始,每年交替轮流在中国教授英语和文化科目----其中一个项目,是北京大学的内部硕博英语项目。
  19969月,Holtrop博士应邀参与北京大学组织的《中国初级宗教研究》项目。
  此外,他还在北京大学、清华大学、人民大学、中国社会科学院分别教授过宗教、哲学,文化和道德课程。
  Dr. Philip Holtrop 在他任教的大学工作期间,曾担任多年的招生委员会成员,有丰富的评估申请经验。
  从1992年开始,他在中国的大学授课期间,累计已经帮助超过50为大学生成功进入美国院校。
  出于对中国文化的喜爱以及对国际教育与交流的热忱,Holtrop教授累计已经赴中国20多次。这期间的活动覆盖教学、学术会议以及专项研究。
  他们夫妇,并且还在美国教授过数门关于中美文化和教育的课程,为中美之间教育与文化的交流做出了令人敬佩的贡献。


美籍华人樊红琦,王曙光夫妇简介
  樊红琦,江苏滨海人,1987年毕业于盐城师范专科学校英语专业,曾经任教于阜宁中学,滨海中学,而后在徐师大进修.1994年赴美国留学,1998年获得加尔文大学 (Calvin College)学士学位.2000年获得密植更大峡谷州立大学工商管理硕士学位(Seidman School of Business).现住芝加哥地区惠顿市,就职于一环卫公司(Republic Services)财务部门。2003年牵头创办了智慧树国际教育集团(Knowledge Tree, Inc.)。自该机构成立以来,樊先生年年奔走于中美之间,在国内投资了私立学校一所、帮助数十名中国学生赴美国留学、为多所大学和中学选送了外教并为其组织了数场专家学术报告会,还促成了多批次国内大学和中学教师赴美国交流学习,为促进中美教育发展做出了一定的贡献。
  王曙光,江苏滨海人,1987年毕业于盐城师范专科学校英语专业,曾经任教于滨海中学. 1996年赴美国留学,1999年获得加尔文大学学士学位. 后于2002年获得惠顿大学(Wheaton College)教育硕士学位. 现在正在攻读语言博士学位.王曙光就职于惠顿大学中文系.2012年她带领她的美国学生到北京学习中国文化,语言.
  樊红琦王曙光夫妇育有二子:樊路和樊遥. 长子樊路今年二十四岁.他于2011年获得加尔文大学硕士学位.目前在芝加哥的公司(C.H. Robinson)做营销工作. 次子樊遥已经十四岁. 他就读于惠顿市基督语法初中 (Wheaton Christian Grammar).樊遥擅长体育,音乐,和各门功课的学习.他还会讲中文.
  过去二十五年来, 樊红琦王曙光夫妇一直致力研究中美文化,习俗,语言,历史,宗教,和哲学.他们将继续为东西方文化交流和沟通架设桥梁.他们欢迎国内朋友来美国交流,指导,学习.

Chet Shaw's Bio
Chet Shaw has served in the field of Higher Education forapproximately 14 years. Chet has held various leadership roles and hisexperience in higher education includes work in both the Community College andUniversity institutions. Chet is currently the Dean of Student Services at Moraine Valley Community College.
Previously, Chet served as Director of Retention at Elmhurst College. Other previous experienceincludes: Assistant Dean of Student Life and Code of Conduct at Moraine ValleyCommunity College; Recruitment andRetention Manager at Waubonsee Community College; Academic Advisor at Benedictine University;Enrollment Coordinator at National-LouisUniversity; and Manager of the Minority TransferCenter at Waubonsee Community College.Chet has also served as an Adjunct Faculty member teaching courses in Business,Leadership, and Philosophy. In addition, Chet has led efforts to support thesuccess of International Students at the college, to increase enrollment,retention and completion, as well as supported efforts related to InternationalStudent success.
Chet's educational background includes: a Bachelor of Artsdegree in Marketing from Illinois State University;a Masters of Business Administration degree from National-Louis University;and completed coursework for a Doctor of Education degree in Higher Educationand Organizational Change (completion and defense of dissertation anticipated2014-15). Chet's research interests are reflected in his dissertation topic:Factors that Impede African-American Males from Achieving Degree Completion.
Susan Anderson -is board member for KT. She has an ABin English from Calvin College (1966), and was acomputer programmer for Western Electric for seven years. Since retiringin 1972, she has volunteered in various leadership roles in her home churches. She has been co-director of Coffee Break for eighteen years and iscurrently an elder in the Wheaton CRC. She has helped with variousactivities of KT in the past year-notably in the area of procuring passports,visas, emergency contacts, health insurance, shots, room and board in Wheaton, transportation,and other logistics and special needs. In the past few years, Sue hasbeen toChinatwice and made many useful contacts for KT.
Dr. Claudia DeVries Beversluis is vice president and theprovost of Calvin College, a position sheassumed in 2006. Provost Beversluis began her tenure at Calvin in 1990, firstas a faculty member in the Psychology Department and later as dean forinstruction. A native of Chicago, Provost Beversluis received her masters inclinical psychology in 1981 and her Ph.D. in 1983 from Loyola University.
Prior to Calvin, she served as a minister of congregationallife and as a clinical psychologist specializing in child, adolescent, andfamily therapy. Her teaching and research have been in brain and behavior,identity development, gender and sexuality, adolescents and worship, andcommunity engagement. She is a co-editor of the book Community and Connection:Service Learning and Christian Higher Education, and frequently gives lecturesand workshops on higher education.

English Teachers Placement
First step, recruit qualified English teachers for Chinesehigh schools and colleges. Visit American colleges, interview candidates,train and prepare candidates. Communicate between schools and candidates. Acceptance or denial offered.
Second step, 4 day orientation. Provide room &board, and transportation for candidates. Classroom instruction onculture, teaching methodology, etc.
Third step, purchase airplane tickets/insurance.
Yearly visit to English teachers inChina. Give care package andencouragement. Listen to their side of the story. Treat them todinner.
Student Placement (F-1)
First step, recruit Chinese students forAmerican schools. Interview, generate forms and documents, translation,coaching candidates. Apply schools for candidates. Pay applicationfee.
Second step, application accepted or denied. If denied,redo application. Obtain I-20 and mail I-20 to candidates. Schoolside tuition and fees paid. Work with schools for host families. Initial meeting with host families for students. Check with livingarrangements. A year health insurance purchased. Students' arrival and 15day orientation starts. Provide room and board. Classes andinstruction starting with culture, education, Bible, math, computer, andEnglish. Daily reading & written assignments. Tour Chicago museums, Chinatown,and Navy Pier, etc.
Third step, dinner with host families and schoolofficials. Student placed. Follow-up services start. Coordinate parents visit. Communication with host families andschools. Grade report. Special needs such as academic tutoring andtransportation.
